We are looking for a proactive, people-focused, and highly organised Human Resources Executive to join our dynamic team.
This role plays a vital part in nurturing our staff’s professional growth, wellbeing, and day-to-day experience. Working closely with the Head of People, the HR Executive will contribute to the recruitment and lifecycle of employees, and help maintain a positive and efficient workplace culture where every team member can thrive.
Role Overview
The Human Resources Executive supports the effective management, wellbeing, and professional growth of all staff within the school. The HR Executive works closely with Senior Leaders to implement HR initiatives that promote staff engagement, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Create/review job descriptions in collaboration with Senior Leaders, in order to publish vacancies required;
- Liaise with the Communications Team to design and issue calls on the School's social media platforms;
- Locate, identify and attract suitable candidates, researching new avenues for recruitment;
- Ensure that all shortlisted applicants have the necessary qualifications and accreditation to fulfil the role they are applying for;
- Hold interviews, with Senior Leaders, to assess candidates and select the persons best able to hold the advertised post;
- Liaise with and keep the respective Senior Leaders updated on the progress of the process at all times;
- Prepare and execute the induction and onboarding of newly-hired staff, including contracts, collection of documentation, and support in obtaining the relevant compliance documentation (where required);
- Ensure that record-keeping is up-to-date and in line with School requirements;
- Support the lifecycle of employees, including the relevant changes in status, employment, and upskilling;
- Support the planning and execution of School events;
- Participate in general HR duties, and the updating and creating of School Policies and Procedures
The ideal candidate will have:
- A recognised qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in HR, ideally within an educational or similar environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, with previous experience working with iSAMS and/or Talexio being considered an asset.
- Experience in applying for funding such as Erasmus+, IIS etc.
- Strong organisational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain confidentiality.
- Familiarity with employment and education regulations in Malta is considered an asset.
