Overview

Chiswick House School and St Martin’s College is seeking a highly organised and experienced professional to lead the assessment of prospective students from Early Years through to Level 6 (age 3 to 11), on a part-time basis

This is a key role within our admissions team, ensuring that all applicants are assessed fairly and according to level expectations. The successful candidate will contribute to the student placement process, while ensuring a smooth and welcoming admissions experience for families.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and administer entrance assessments across all year levels

• Make use of age-appropriate assessment materials in various domains 

• Keep abreast with new assessment practices

• Work closely with Registrar and Heads of School across both schools

• Evaluate assessment outcomes and produce clear, objective reports

• Support placement decisions in collaboration with academic leadership

• Maintain accurate and confidential applicant records

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• MQF level 6 in Psychology, Education or a related field

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related field

• Strong understanding of child development across early years and primary years

Skills & Competencies

• Expertise in implementation across age groups

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and recommend decisions

• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills

• Confidence in engaging with students, parents, and colleagues

• Strong IT skills, including familiarity with data systems and reporting tools

• Professional, discreet, and ethical in all aspects of work

• Empathetic and patient, particularly when working with younger students

• Collaborative and proactive team member

• Able to remain calm and effective during busy admissions periods

Additional Requirements

• Fluency in English (spoken and written)

• Eligibility to work in Malta
