Job Description

Overview

At Chiswick House School and St Martin’s College, one of Malta’s leading educational institutions, we are united by a shared vision: to inspire excellence and nurture character. Our mission is to deliver an outstanding education that empowers students to grow into happy, confident, and lifelong learners.

With a vibrant community of over 400 dedicated team members, we are committed to unlocking each learner’s potential while fostering creativity, resilience, and a strong sense of purpose. We take pride in preparing our students not only for academic success, but also for thriving in an ever-changing world — and we’d love for you to be part of that journey.

We are delighted to announce that we are seeking enthusiastic, creative, and self-driven Sports Assistant to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis for the remainder of the 2026 academic year!

Your role as a Sports Assistant:

As a key member of our sports team, you will help create a safe, engaging, and positive environment for our students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Organising engaging sports activities that inspire teamwork, fitness, and fun during student break times.
  • Supervising and supporting students to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and modelling respect, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
  • Promoting responsibility by guiding students to keep shared spaces clean and tidy.
  • Caring for equipment by monitoring its safe use, ensuring it remains in good condition, and reporting any damages when necessary.

Working Hours: 12:10 to 13:20 (weekdays during school term)

Requirements:

  • A strong background in sports, physical education, or a related field (formal qualifications are considered an asset).
  • Experience or interest in working with children and young people.
  • Specialist knowledge or coaching experience in tennis, football, basketball, or volleyball will be given preference.
  • Excellent communication skills, reliability, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to enjoy active, healthy lifestyles.

Through your work, you will not only help students stay active and healthy, but also encourage values such as resilience, respect, and collaboration - lessons that last well beyond the playing field.
