We are excited to announce that we are looking for an enthusiastic and self-driven Discipline for Learning Lead - Middle School and Senior School to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis starting academic year 2025/2026!

Job Objectives

Discipline for Learning Lead:

• To plan, organise, develop and monitor all matters related to the learners’ discipline for learning in Middle School (MS)/Senior School (SS).

• To participate in creating a holistic school environment wherein every Middle School/Senior School learner feels welcomed and safe.

• To encourage learners to acquire executive functioning skills beyond the academic.

• To ensure that all policies related to Discipline for Learning (D4L) are in line with modern practice and to ensure that each one is reinforced.

• To come up with a comprehensive positive behaviour support system and empower staff members to subscribe to it.

• To work collaboratively with the entire Middle School/Senior School Team to ensure that all learners are followed on their specific social and emotional needs.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Participate in a weekly Discipline for Learning (D4L) meeting (Senior Leader, Level Leaders, Middle Leader, and Pastoral Administrator)

• Participate in a weekly Core Wellbeing meeting (Head of School, Senior leader, Counsellors, Middle Leader, INCO, and Pastoral Administrator)

• Participate in a weekly operational meeting together with the Senior leader and Senior Middle Leader, and Middle Leader.

• Participate in a weekly SOC meeting.

• Liaise with the Level Leaders (LLs) to support the implementation and monitoring of strategy/goals set by Senior Leadership Team and Core Wellbeing Team in relation to learning and other connected policies.

• Follow up on disciplinary reports and call parents where necessary.

• Follow up on individual learners as the need arises.

• Organise parents’ meetings whenever necessary.

• Support teachers in the implementation of Discipline for Learning policies.

• Implement behaviour plans devised by the Core Well-being Team together with Level Leaders and external professionals.

• Be a constant, reliable presence on the corridor to ensure smooth, ordered transitions between lessons and after breaks.

• Observe behaviour during breaktimes and empower teachers to actively supervise these times.

• Deal with regular, constant behavioural issues and support teachers.

• Work closely with the Senior Leader to develop and implement infrastructural projects.

• Support teachers in the implementation of Discipline for Learning / pastoral policies. 

• Monitor new student entrants and hold at least 2 one-to-one touch-base meetings with them. 

• Support the Senior Leadership Team to enable smooth and effective transitions (Middle School to Senior School, level transitions etc).


We’re looking for someone who:

• Is fluent in English, and proficient in Maltese.

• Has a Bachelor's degree in a relevant area with appropriate experience in a school-based environment. 

• Demonstrates excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and thrives as part of a collaborative team.

• Has a genuine desire to make a meaningful impact on the lives and future success of our students.

• Holds a clean police conduct and has strong references.
